Konraad A. Kordula was born in New York City in 1977. He was raised in northern New Jersey, in a town just outside of New York City. After graduating from high school, Konraad moved to North Carolina, where he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While there, he majored in Political Science and International Studies. During his four years at Carolina, he was active with athletic and volunteer programs, working mostly with children and minority groups. After graduating from Carolina in 1999, Konraad moved to Taipei, Taiwan, where he has lived ever since. In addition to teaching English, Konraad studies Chinese, yoga, and marital arts. He enjoys traveling, reading, and socializing. Konraad is the middle child; his older sister, younger brother, and his parents live in the New York City area and miss him very much.
